EXERCISE RAMSTEIN FLAG 2024

On October 8th 2024, the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) air base at Andravida opened its gates for aviation enthusiasts to witness the airfields contribution to Exercise Ramstein Flag (RF2024)

Ramstein Flag is a new exercise which encompasses mission profiles, realistic war time environments and other aspects of the more famous Red Flag exercises which take place at Nellis AFB in the USA.

General James B. Hecker, who as head of the United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Allied Air Command was quoted as saying, “Ramstein Flag signifies the future of NATO exercises, focusing on current and future threats”

From September 30th to October 11th the more than 130 aircraft that took part in Ramstein Flag flew around 1,100 sorties and we at Pixelsnipers have a photo collage of the international participants stationed at Andravida for the duration of RF2024.
